Important accomplishments in the history of Odyssey Charter School include:

1999
Founded May 25, 1999 in a church building. Odyssey opened with 112 Kindergarten through 6th grade students.

2002
First grade from the State of Florida was an A+. Odyssey was one of 15.5% of Florida public schools that made the State's highest grading system for school success: Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). Odyssey has continued to be a consistently high performing school as measured by the FLDOE annually.

First charter school in Brevard County to be awarded a 10-year contract renewal based upon exemplary academic programming and fiscal management.

2004
Odyssey received a million dollar land grant from Bayside Lakes Development to move the School six miles south to Bayside Lakes.

2005
Odyssey grows from original 112 students to 510 Kindergarten through 8th grade students in Florida's first "green" public school building.

2007
Odyssey becomes the first and only charter school in the State of Florida to receive educational impact fee dollars from the Brevard County Commission, in the amount of $1.5 million.

Odyssey's academic ranking is reported in the top 5.3% of combination K-8 schools. Odyssey was identified as13th in performance out of 244 public schools.

One of 22 finalists in the Bill Gates Charter School Growth Fund Replication Grant.

2008
Energy Star Building Award Recognition for utilizing 30% less energy and for spending 70% less on energy bills than conventional Florida schools.

2009
Odyssey was named as a Governor's Serve to Preserve "Green" School Award Winner

2010
Grand Opening of 10,000 square foot addition with computer labs, classrooms and indoor gym.

2011
Odyssey became fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Odyssey was awarded the High Performing Charter School status by the Florida Department of Education.

2012
Grand Opening of the Odyssey Junior/Senior High School – Wyoming Upper Campus.

Odyssey has 1 student place in the BPS Science Fair, and 2 students place in the BPS Art Fair.

2013
Odyssey opened its high school beginning with the addition of 9th grade.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High wins Middle School Flag Football championship.

Odyssey has 3 students place in the BPS Science Fair.

2014
Odyssey awarded Keep Brevard Beautiful recognition in the Education category by "creating a culture of high expectations" and standards for sustainability.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High wins Middle School Flag Football championship.

Odyssey has 1 student in 2nd place in the BPS Science Fair and 1 student won 1st place in the BPS Art Fair.

2015
Odyssey Charter School is awarded the 2015 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School for Exemplary Practices and Initiatives in Reducing Environmental Impact and Cost, Improving the Health and Wellness of Students and Staff, and Providing Environmental Education Incorporating STEM, Civic Skills and Green Career Pathways.

Odyssey awarded the Florida Green School Network's Florida Green School Award for its' efforts to reduce environmental costs, improve the health and wellness of students and staff, and provide learning opportunities focused on the environment that incorporate science, mathematics, technology, civic skills, and green pathways
Odyssey established dual enrollment partnerships with Florida Institute of Technology and Eastern Florida State College.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High School opens The Farm at Odyssey with a visit from the Mayor Guillermo Capote and Congressman Bill Posey.

Odyssey is awarded the Golden Carrot Award from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine for its nutrition and school lunch programs.

Odyssey has 5 students place in the BPS Science Fair, including 1 Best of Show and 1 student won 1st place in the BPS Art Fair.

Odyssey has 16 students place in various events at the Hershey Track Meet.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High wins Middle School Boys Basketball championship.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High wins Middle School Flag Football championship.

Odyssey receives Bright Ideas Grant for iPads.

2016
Odyssey Charter School earns only "A" school grade out of 22 schools serving Palm Bay students.

Odyssey's Founder/Head of Schools is recognized by the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools as a Charter School Champion Pioneer.

Odyssey Charter School identified as ECTAC Exceeding Expectations Project School based on FDOE 2016 School Grade data (ELA and Math Achievement, ELA and Math Learning Gains and Lower Quartile Learning Gains, ELA and Math Achievement in the Black and Hispanic Subgroup, School Grade).

Odyssey video submission is recognized in the Top 50 Best Videos in Center for Education Reform "Hey John Oliver, Back Off My Charter School!" contest and awarded $1000.

Odyssey has 4 students place in the BPS Science Fair and 3 students place in the BPS Art Fair.

Odyssey Charter School Jr/Sr High Beginning Band earns a Superior rating.

Odyssey Jr/Sr High wins Middle School Girls Basketball championship.

Odyssey has 3 teachers qualify for Florida Best & Brightest Scholarship.

2017
Odyssey Charter School awarded the U.S. Healthier Schools Gold Award of Distinction by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Odyssey Charter School recognized by ECTAC for Exceeding Expectations on FSA for FY16.
