Procedures
Board Meetings
The Board of Directors oversees
business decisions, future planning for the school, and adherence
to the school's mission and vision. Regular meetings are normally
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are
held at 5:15 p.m. Special and emergency meetings are called and
held as needed by the Board with 24 hours notice. All meetings
are open to the public and abide by Florida's Sunshine Law.

Individuals or groups wishing
to address the Board at any meeting should arrive prior to the
meeting and sign-up on the Public Presentation form. Public presentations will be limited to three minutes. Concerns will not be addressed at the Board Meeting. All concerns will be addressed in writing in a timely manner.
Sensory and mobility impaired
persons seeking assistance for participation in any meeting should
contact Ms. Ortiz at Odyssey Charter School 733-0442.
Anyone who would like a copy
of a Board document must complete a public records request form
located in the school's office.

Grievance Procedures
Step 1: Request Teacher conference to clarify issue
Step 2: Contact Principal if unresolved with the teacher
Step 3: **Contact Constance Ortiz at Academia Central Florida Manage- ment Company
Step 4: Contact the President of the Governing Board
Step 5: Present issue at the next monthly Board of Directors Meeting if unresolved
Step 6: Seek mediation with the Sponsor
**Constance Ortiz, Academica Central Florida Director, has been designated by the OCS Board of Directors as the Representative to Facilitate Parental Involvement, provide access to information, assist parents and others with questions and concerns, and resolve disputes according to charter requirements. Board of Directors
The Odyssey Charter School Board is a volunteer position typically filled by teachers and parents of students of OCS as well as business professionals from throughout our community. Meeting monthly through the school year, the Board of Directors oversees business decisions, future planning for the school, and adherence to the school’s mission and vision. The Board seeks out and accepts applications from capable individuals within the school and community when filling vacancies. Terms of office are typically three years to help get a working overview of school activities, needs and directions. All OCS Board Members can be contacted by calling 733-0442.

Chris Glatz, President
School Director, Term : 2012-2015
Mr. Glatz is a certified human resource professional and specializes in sales, marketing, acquisitions, finance and cash flow management, providing assistance to numerous companies, such as Toronto Electric and Ford Motor Company. Mr. Glatz is the Executive director of Royal Palm Charter School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing at Hartford University. He is also a six-year veteran of the United States Army.
Dr. Jane Martin, Vice President
Teacher, Term: 2010-2013
Dr. Martin is a former OCS teacher. She obtained her Ph.D in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the Florida Institute of Technology. Dr. Martin will Chair the Odyssey Charter School Wellness Committee.
Jessicah Nichols, Secretary
Teacher, Term: 2010-2013
Mrs. Nichols was a former educator at OCS and is currently an active mom of four children. She graduated from the University of Central Florida, earning a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. She has dedicated many hours to the benefit of OCS since 2003, as an educator, parent, and staff member.
Cliff Repperger Jr.,Treasurer
Attorney, Term: 2010-2013
Mr. Repperger is an attorney with Gray Robinson. He obtained his B.S. degree in Advertising from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Previously he served as Assistant County Attorney for the Board of County Commissioners of Brevard County.
Andy Vega, Board Member
Parent, Term: 2012-2015
Mr. Vega is a Program Manager for the Mentor’s Network in Orlando. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Analysis. He enjoys the opportunity to combine education and work in administration and performance management. Mr. Vega’s daughter, Gabby is a 7th grade student at Odyssey. |
