This will be another exciting year for the Odyssey music program. We have both orchestra and chorus as well as music appreciation and theory classes for all grades.

If you can afford it, renting or buying a violin will greatly assist your child realize his full musical potential.

You can buy a violin over the internet for about $60.00 (see resource links below). You may also check the message board HERE to buy or sell used violins.

I will be handing out a violin purchase/rental form to your child which will go into more detail.

All violin students are asked to practice 20 minutes a day for a total of 2 hours a week.

3rd through 6th graders have been working in a violin book called "New Directions for Strings book 1". If your child owns a violin and if you can afford it, this book would be indispensable for your budding violinist to work on at home and in school. This book can be purchased through Atlantic Strings HERE for $8.95.
